Health &
Safety

The international standard for occupational health and safety management systems, designed to prevent work-related injury and ill health.

What is ISO 45001?

ISO 45001 is the international standard for occupational health and safety management systems (OH&S MS).

It provides a framework for managing OH&S risks and opportunities to help prevent work-related injury and ill health to workers and to provide safe and healthy workplaces. ISO 45001 replaced OHSAS 18001 and is designed to be compatible with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.

The standard is applicable to any organisation regardless of its size, type, and activities. It enables organisations to proactively improve OH&S performance by preventing injury and ill health.
